On November 6, as part of the Parallel program of the 8th Moscow international Biennale of contemporary art, the Fashion Museum will open the exhibition #BUTFLY. The exhibition will include works by several Russian and European artists, as well as a special project of the Museum.
The main idea of #BUTFLY is to study the process of metamorphosis that occurs in the human mind. It occurs when there is a metaphysical need to move to another or a new level of personal development. According to the author of the project, the reason for activating this process is the accumulated potential of a person, which he can not realize for any reason. There is a pressure of “external restriction” on “internal expansion”. According to the hypothesis, this metamorphosis has three phases, lived by the individual in a certain order: anger, pain, and freedom.
